Memorable Moments from Racket Boys Kdrama Honest review by Omama Ahmad

Kdrama: Racket boys (2021)
Genre: sports, friendship, youth
No. of eps: 16

A pure Sports based drama set in a countryside, beautifully showing village’s lifestyle and the passion of athletes for badminton. It focuses on Haenam middle school’s boys and girls badminton teams and their coaches.

It all starts when a broke and poor coach from seoul gets a job at haenam school so he takes his son (hae kang) and little daughter ( hae in) with him to settle in Village.
Absolutely loved the friendship between team mates, the thrill of badminton matches, the love and trust between coaches and athletes, the burning passion to smash the opponents, the cool & top class badminton shots, the camera work during their matches, the action of players, the untold love for their families, the importance of neighbors and the beauty of natural village life.

And there were few things that annoyed me, first the character of yoon hae kang was so full of himself that i actually started hating him, he acted all mighty and over confident but thats how his character was, secondly coach yoon was also annoying but his character development turned out to be really good. The characters that i loved the most were coach Ra and han se yoon, loved their bond and all boys of the team.
Their Friendship won hearts and even opponents were envious of them.

Most importantly this drama is a lesson to appreciate all the sports and not just the famous ones like baseball and football in korea.
They worked hard but were disappointed sometimes because no one was never there to support and watch their matches, but they were all determined to make badminton a loved sports by public.

I really love the dramas in which we get to see how an organization or a team works, these dramas just amaze me because the TV never shows us the struggle and hardwork of people behind the celebs. We only see players playing in field, singers singing on stage, actors acting in dramas.
“Hot Stove League” was all about baseball team and their manager, 25 21 was about fencing, “Top management” was about an idol group and its management, “shooting star” was about a famous actor and his PR team. And similarly Racket Boys is about badminton teams and their coaches.
Its really worth to watch.
Personal opinion: is tarhan k dramas pakistan mein b bnnay chahyei, yahan b to yehi masla hai, public is madly in love with cricket and cricket only, apnay baki athletes ki koi qadar nhi, kon medal jeet kr la rha hai, kon kitni struggle kr rha hai or govt ki taraf se na koi salary hai na appreciation, na facilities, agr public awareness k liye aisay content bnay jain to kitna acha ho ga
