Park was born on February 12, 1990, in Jeungpyeong, North Chungcheong Province, South Korea as the second daughter of her parents among three. She entered Dankook University’s Department of Theater and Film for her higher education.

She made her official acting debut in 2006 with the high school television series Secret Campus alongside fellow newcomer Lee Min-ho.
